KING OF NEW YORK, the second single from JIMMY DOYLE's "GOING GRAY" is about a few loves of mine. Pizza, New York City, loyalty & pride in your work.

Dom Demarco opened DiFara Pizza in 1965 & for decades was the sole pizzaiolo at his shop in Brooklyn, NY. I've worked at a few pizzerias over the years & have always been a bit of a pizza snob. When I first heard about DiFara I knew I had to try it & when I finally had my first slice there I was sold. You'll hear a lot of arguments about who makes the best pizza in the city but I'll always say DiFara is the best.

Working in the industry & meeting people who are so passionate about what some might call "junk food" only solidified my respect for people like Dom. So here's my salute to the King of New York & all the pizza people who care so deeply about throwing dough & feeding their community.
